We are seeking a permanent full-time Regional Salvage Assistant to provide administrative and technical support related to the receipt, control and disposal of total loss and recovered motor vehicles, and general salvage for a regional area.
 

This position will be based out of New Westminster.
 

Your qualifications will include:
• Knowledge of motor vehicle makes, models, years, parts, equipment and market value;
• Ability to use computer applications and databases to enter, edit and retrieve data;
• Ability to maintain well-organized and accurate records of total loss vehicle;
• Ability to explain salvage and vehicle disposal policies and procedures to staff, customers and buyers;
• Ability to maintain visual and mental concentration while dealing with multiple demands and deadlines, spend considerable time standing and walking throughout the day, climb on trucks and trailers to verify motor vehicle information and to lift and move motor vehicle parts;
• Ability to work in environment with occasional exposure to noise, dirt and dust and in all weather conditions when inspecting vehicles;
• Excellent customer service experience

 

The above requirements would typically be acquired through some experience in an administrative environment and few years of related experience in the motor vehicle salvage/wrecking industry.
 

A first aid certificate, as well as a forklift license, would be considered an asset. Note the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment based on the job requirements.
