This is an Internal ICBC job posting for applicants within the bargaining unit. External applicants will not be considered.

 

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive and organized individual to be a part of the Licensing Unit team in Victoria. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, updating and processing BC drivers' licenses, BC identification cards and BC services cards in an accurate and timely manner. You will also provide administrative support to the driver licensing call centre and driver licensing offices regarding BC drivers’ licenses, identification cards and BC Services cards.


Responsibilities will include:


• Following established procedures, position investigates and resolves errors from several areas of licensing documented on computer diagnostic reports.
• Updating records to ensure BC drivers licenses and identification cards are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
• Responding to a variety of enquiries and requests from internal and external sources.
• Gathering and exchanging information or documentation; processing system updates, etc. related to the processing of drivers. licenses and identification cards.
• Receiving requests for driver abstracts via fax, mail and telephone.
• Reviewing for compliance to established criteria, soliciting clarification on complex requests from internal or external sources where required, and processing payments or refunds.
• Preparing and recording documents for scanning, verifying that they reflect correct and accurate information; selecting the appropriate content of auto-text form letters or creating specialty letters to the public to request missing information or correct existing information
• Sorting and distributing mail and reports, filing, etc.


Position Requirements


The ideal candidate has:
• Solid written and verbal communication skills;
• The ability to work well with individuals at all levels; and
• Experience and knowledge of office related procedures.


The above requirements would typically be met through high school graduation and job related skills training related to office administration.
