Position Highlights
The Driver Licensing Program Advisor assists and supports current driver licensing programs while leading the development and delivery of new initiatives. This role is part of the Business Support team and involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders to design, develop, and implement programs and strategies. The DL Program Advisor will prioritize and execute driver licensing plans, policies, and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure program delivery agreements (e.g., cost recovery, information sharing, service levels) are in place with governments, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to negotiate agreements with stakeholders and vendors.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs, making improvements as needed to ensure consistent delivery.
- Lead audits and reviews of driver licensing programs.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify risks, implement controls, monitor compliance, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Provide consultative and analytical support to internal departments in assessing options and solutions for business challenges and opportunities related to driver licensing programs and products.
- Support operational projects, workforce planning, recruitment strategies, performance management, and FTE utilization.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in driver licensing and business operations, with a focus on identifying and addressing process gaps and misalignments.
- Ability to provide strategic advice and make recommendations for improving business design to meet goals and objectives.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Knowledge of customer service, risk assessment, benchmarking, and operational change management.
- Experience in operational support, policy decisions, and training to align with divisional and corporate objectives.
This position is based in Victoria.
Work arrangements defined:
- Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
