Position Highlights
The Auto & MD Business Improvement department is seeking a Business Process Advisor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing consultation, oversight, and guidance with regards to process, policy, procedures and systems with a clear focus on Auto Claims and Material Damage. The successful candidate will require understanding continuous improvement typically from working in an agile and or Lean environment.
The candidate have the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders. Key to this position is to have demonstrated strength as an effective communicator and strong facilitator with a data driven, collaborative and solution focused approach. You will update and manage process and procedures in accordance with corporate objectives. You will also have the responsibility to develop and capture business requirements and impact assessments related to material damage initiatives.
Specific accountabilities will include leading continuous improvement in the Auto Claims and Material Damage portfolios such as Glass, Towing, Collision, Parts, Salvage and Total loss. You will provide technical consultation, problem solving, and relationship management to support the design and development of different strategic programs and initiatives. This includes working with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen stakeholder partnerships, enhance customer experience, and manage claims costs. The work is diverse, exciting, innovative and a great opportunity to deliver value to the Claims organization.
Position Requirements
Qualifications required to be successful in this role include:
- Business knowledge in material damage and auto claims workflow and systems including Mitchell, ClaimCenter, Aries payment request, GWE, VISion, etc.
- Conduct research, gather and document requirements, document current state process and design future state process, and design future state operating model
- Gather and analyze data identifying, defining, baselining current state, planning, tracking and reporting on the realization of benefits
- Plan and manage execution of division initiatives, projects, and programs
- Identify areas of opportunity using data, develop reporting requirements, design reports and work with technology team to roll-out to users
- Develop the skills, behaviors, knowledge, tools and processes needed within business consulting to achieve its goals.
- Translate business design into technology requirements, prepare epics, work with CX and technology teams in the development and testing for new or improved functionality, etc
- Knowledge and ability to coach, mentor, and influence business partners in the area of operational change considerations (both behavioral and practices).
- Develop change plan and execute change tactics to prepare stakeholders for change, including preparing and rolling out communications
- Implement new or improved business design and operating model, including working with operations to support go-live, change management, training, and post go-live support
- Own and manage relationships with external stakeholders (carriers and strategic vendors)
- Experience reporting tools such as Tableau would be an asset.
- Exposure to Agile methodology and JIRA would be an asset.
- Lean sigma yellow belt certification would be an asset.

Work arrangement defined:
- Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
