Position Highlights
The Claims Division has exciting opportunities across BC for Auto Claims Specialist III to join their team! You will manage a caseload of non-injury claims and handle cases through all stages of investigation, evaluation, file development and settlement. Your caseload will consist of high value, complex, and sensitive passenger and commercial vehicle claims, including files with low and high-risk fraud indicators.
Position Requirements
To be successful in this role, the following skills and experience are required:
- Previous claims adjusting experience within the Corporation is required;
- Knowledge of the relevant acts, regulations, and legislation pertaining to high complexity claims;
- Knowledge of the principles, standards, practices and techniques pertaining to the adjustment of high complexity claims;

Knowledge of the insurance industry and related issues (e.g. inter-jurisdictional issues);
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills to plan and conduct investigation of claims;
- Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills in order to establish effective working relationships with customers, staff, specialists, and other professionals; and also to negotiate settlements;
- Strong organizational skills to manage a multi-file caseload of high complexity claims and maintain research information/file documentation;
- Leadership skills to liaise with and possibly direct professionals and specialists in regard to the investigation and settlement of high complexity claims;
- Physical concentration and demonstrated time management skills to manage a complex caseload and multiple demands as required;
- A professional CIP designation in progress is considered an asset.
Position Information
This is a mass posting. We anticipate filling potential vacancies throughout the province of British Columbia that arise during the next six (6) months through this mass posting. If the Corporation is unable to fill all vacancies with suitable internal applicants, the remaining will be recruited externally.
These positions report to various Managers within the Department.

Work arrangement defined:
- Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
