Position Highlights

 

ICBC's Workforce Planning and Optimization department has a temporary 6 month opportunity for a Senior Business Analytics Analyst to support the continuous improvement of various internal business areas by providing resource planning analysis, performance dashboards and related data/statistical analytics. In this role, you will also identify and recommend strategies to address issues and obstacles through various forms of analysis and evaluation.

 

Position Requirements

 

As a Senior Business Analytics Analyst, you are demonstrating:

 

  • Knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques of predictive analytics, relevant technical tools, computer applications and databases to extract relevant data, develop and present analysis and effective operational dashboards
  • Problem solving skills to research and investigate programs or initiatives utilizing advanced analytics, program evaluation, statistical modelling, and other strategic research techniques and methodologies
  • Organizational skills to independently plan and execute complex applied research, analytics and evaluation projects, and to manage projects effectively in an environment of tight timelines, multiple demands, and changing priorities
  • Experience in leading project teams of managers, analysts, and other technical staff including delegating individual assignments and reviewing work for technical soundness
  • Accountability for one’s work, application of critical thinking and ability to deal with ambiguity are key to being successful
  • Demonstrated strength in both written and verbal communication as you will be required to present on work produced 
  • Exceptional business acumen and a keen eye for visual reporting and presentation
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and at different levels within the organization, and build strong relationships
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work effectively and accurately under pressure and within an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to work effectively within a team or independently.
  • Experience with Workforce Management and contact center operations would be an asset
  • Operational Excellence / LEAN training is an asset

Work arrangement defined:

 

  • Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
