ICBC's Office of Strategy Management has a terrific opportunity available for an experienced leader and strategic thinker to join their team in North Vancouver. This position oversees strategy management and business planning services to support the development and execution of the corporate strategy.
Reporting to the Director, Office of Strategy Management, you will lead a team of advisors to:
• Work with executive and senior leaders to develop the corporate strategic plan
• Translate strategic objectives into performance metrics and actionable plans
• Develop complex business strategies and initiatives in alignment with our corporate strategy
• Monitor and report on strategy execution, identifying issues and risks as appropriate
• Monitor and help develop responses to external trends that may impact our business
• Provide strategic input into business decisions, taking a structured data-driven approach while building consensus
Position requirements:
You have a demonstrated ability for strategic thinking across a complex portfolio of work, with excellent thought leadership and problem-solving skills. You are motivated to continuously improve processes and to coach a high performing team to excel.• Diverse experience in corporate strategy, consulting, and business transformation, with demonstrated knowledge of management consulting and strategic planning methodologies, frameworks, techniques and tools
• 5+ years of management experience
• Ability to learn and understand ICBC's business, organization, and operating environment
• Experience building relationships and influencing at all levels of the organization, including Executive
• Excellent facilitation, persuasion and collaboration abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict and achieve desired outcomes
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills and the ability to distill complex information into a compelling story
• Results driven and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams in an environment of ambiguity, tight deadlines, and constraints, while adapting to meet the ever-changing needs of the organization
• Commitment to continuous learning and contagious curiosity
• Knowledge of emerging developments in insurance and other industry sectors is an asset
The ideal candidate will hold either an undergraduate degree, a professional designation, an MBA and/or professional experience as a consultant.

Work arrangements defined:
- Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
