The Server Cloud Foundation team is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist - Team Lead (Virtualization and Storage).
We have a fully virtualized on-premise environment that is continuing to expand into the public cloud. We are looking for a motivated leader with strong technical credibility who can serve as the focal point for the team, support delivery and operational excellence, and help coordinate work across our technical leads and stakeholders. This role is expected to understand the technology and guide the team effectively, but it is not intended to be the primary solution design lead.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Senior Technical Specialist - Virtualization and Storage Team Lead, you will:
• Provide senior-level technical leadership and day-to-day coordination for the Virtualization and Storage team.
• Act as the primary focal point for the technical team, helping align priorities, resolve blockers, and coordinate work across technical leads, partners, and stakeholders.
• Support planning, intake, and prioritization activities by translating business and operational needs into clear team actions.
• Coordinate technical input into documentation, operational processes, and service improvement activities, while supporting incident response and issue resolution as needed.
• Lead team execution for projects and operational initiatives, ensuring work is coordinated effectively and delivered to a high standard.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members, while relying on existing technical leads and subject matter experts for detailed solution design leadership.
Position Requirements:
To qualify for the Senior Technical Specialist position, you must demonstrate experience in:
• Leading and coordinating multiple parallel streams of operational and project work.
• Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and team coordination in a complex infrastructure environment.
• Applying strong technical judgment and credibility to support planning, delivery, and operational decision-making.
• Collaborating effectively across multiple levels of the organization, including team members, peers, management, and partner teams.
• Working with vendors and service providers to support delivery, escalation management, and ongoing service quality.
• Organizing team work through effective planning, documentation, coordination, and follow-through to achieve departmental goals.
• Supporting business case development, work estimation, and resource planning as needed.
• Maintaining a strong service mindset and representing the team positively through clear communication, accountability, and responsiveness.
• Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels through strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Qualifications:
• Experience with hyperconverged systems and strong working knowledge of storage and virtualization concepts, preferably with Nutanix HCI and Unified Storage platforms.
• Certification in a hyperscale cloud platform, combined with demonstrated enterprise experience working with cloud services, is considered an asset.
• Technical familiarity with common scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell, and with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools, is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated experience contributing to and reviewing technical documentation for complex enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience supporting business case development, estimation, and budget-related activities is considered an asset.
• Experience supporting project delivery activities and the acquisition or implementation of IT solutions.
• Experience with ITIL processes such as incident, problem, and change management in an enterprise environment.
• Enterprise experience with the software development lifecycle, GitLab, network infrastructure, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, and Red Hat Linux is considered an asset.

Work arrangements defined:
- Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
