Position Highlights

 

We’re seeking a talented Senior HR Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst – Learning Management System (LMS) to lead our technical support efforts and drive innovation. In this critical role, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders and Information Technology (IT), analyze requirements, and ensure seamless system operations. You’ll play a pivotal role in fostering efficiency, sparking innovation, and ensuring smooth operations. Your strong HR and LMS background, and deep understanding of system features and functionalities will empower you to provide expert advice, address critical issues, and effectively manage our LMS system. With a proactive mindset, you’ll navigate the dynamic landscape of change requests, strategically prioritize tasks, support HRIS Analyst team members, and ensure our organization thrives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the senior go-to resource for all features and functionalities within our People Portal LMS system.
  • Provide advisory support to end users, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Analyze and develop end-to-end workflows for new or modified functionalities.
  • Collaborate with business areas, IT, and stakeholders to elicit, refine, and analyze business requirements, assess the impact of system changes on integrations, and evaluate risks related to system integrations, reports, data extracts, security, and permissions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configuration, business rules, and HRIS procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with IT to establish technical details related to business requirements and defects, prepare intake requests for system changes, develop test plans, scripts, cases, and perform system testing within the LMS.
  • Stay informed about vendor releases, consult with them to assess impact on custom configurations and integrations, and implement new features in collaboration with IT and HR business.
  • Lead the continuous evaluation and evolution of the LMS system for enhanced user experience.
  • Deliver advanced second-level technical support on HR system requests, defects, and issues. Guide the Learning Development & Implementation team, HRIS analysts, COE teams, and other end users in making changes within the LMS.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Experienced with at least 3 years of providing support in HR LMS systems (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors LMS), with strong understanding of legacy SAP LMS system, learning development, and learning administration policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with Learning processes and programs.
  • Strong in systems thinking, risk identification, and understanding system and process integration and dependencies across modules and platforms.
  • An analytical thinker and able to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Experienced with software testing skills, including development of test plans and scripts, and defect analysis.
  • An excellent communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams and leaders.
  • Practiced in system testing and change management.
  • Skilled in relationship management including vendors is a plus.

 

A bachelor’s in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced SuccessFactors training on assigned modules is an asset.

Work arrangements defined: 

  • Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
