Position Highlights

 

ICBC's North Vancouver Corporate Head Office has a temporary 6 (six) month opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk.This role is responsible for receiving packaged shipments and delivering goods to appropriate areas, and maintaining the loading dock. The successful candidate should have experience operating pallet jacks, dollies, and other related warehouse equipment as well as knowledge of internal purchasing processes and operation of associated systems.

 

Position Requirements

 

This position requires the successful candidate to:

 

Constantly carry heavy boxes, to bend and lift boxes, push and pull heavy carts, and spend a considerable amount of time each day walking around delivering packages. Excellent customer service skills are essential as the successful candidate will be required to interact with customers on a regular basis.

 

You will be exposed to dirt, dust, garbage, filth and noise. Steel-toed boots are a requirement.

 

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

 

  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, quality oriented manufacturing/production environment.
  • The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and enjoys working in a close-knit team environment, as you will be joining a small but integral department within ICBC.
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment based on the job requirements.
