Position Highlights

 

Join the Strategic Workforce Planning & Analytics team as a People Analytics Specialist and play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights. This senior-level position is perfect for a creative thinker who excels in storytelling and possesses a robust analytical mindset.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Craft compelling narratives from people data to empower HR and business leaders with informed decision-making tools.
  • Provide expertise in employee survey design, analysis, and the Qualtrics EX platform, driving initiatives in employee surveys.
  • Innovate and evolve our analytical capabilities with creative reporting solutions.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide senior-level consulting in people analytics and data interpretation.
  • Develop employee surveys on Qualtrics, delivering insightful analysis and reports.
  • Design predictive models to forecast key people outcomes.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to track strategic performance.
  • Utilize external benchmarks and research to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Synthesize diverse data sources for in-depth analysis, extracting insights to prompt action.
  • Enhance reporting efficiency through data optimization and process improvements.
  • Support the Manager with key analytical initiatives and guide junior analysts on HR metrics and analytics.

Position Requirements

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • 4+ years of progressive experience specialized in people analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze workforce data and translate it into meaningful insights.
  • Skilled in storytelling and visualization, making complex data accessible to all.
  • Proficient in statistical modeling and organizational research principles.
  • Highly skilled with employee research, reporting and data analytics tools (SPSS, Tableau, Qualtrics, SuccessFactors Story Reporting).
  • Active listener attuned to the needs of HR and the business.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented with a deep understanding of data analysis and HR metrics.
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline (i.e. Human Resources, Data Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Organizational Behaviour, Organizational Research, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, etc.).
  • It will make you stand out more if you have a strong passion for using people data to inform business decisions, curiosity to understand beyond the obvious and need to strive for excellence

 

Preferred experiences include:

  • Experience working within the insurance industry or public sector is an asset

Work arrangements defined: 

  • Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
