Position Highlights
The HR Workforce Insights team at ICBC is looking for a keen, critical thinker for the Workforce Insights Consultant role. The Consultant will be responsible for the creation, execution and maintenance of HR reports. The Consultant will also support the Manager Workforce Insights on a variety of people analytics initiatives to enable HR and business leaders to proactively identify workforce risks and measure progress towards executing and achieving the People Strategy. This is a 12 to 15-month temporary vacancy with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities of the Workforce Insights Consultant include:
- Compiling data and creating HR reports on a regular and adhoc basis.
- Ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of reporting activities.
- Analyzing and summarizing key themes and trends found in the data and communicating the information to audience within and outside of HR.
- Supporting the design, development, and maintenance of measures, metrics and dashboards to measure the success of strategic objectives and effectiveness of people process and programs.
- Developing and maintaining standards for HR metrics and related data, including definitions, calculations and file management.
- Gathering external benchmarks and best practice to inform recommendations and insights
Position Requirements
- Knowledge of best practices in data analytics and drawing workforce insights.
- Knowledge of best practices in data visualization.
- Ability to conduct analysis of internal and external data and summarize valuable information from the analysis with the right
level of details. - A general knowledge and understanding of HR processes, procedures and policies.
- Proficiency in relevant data analytics software programs, e.g., excel, Tableau.
- Well organized and great attention to details.
Preferred experiences include:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (i.e. Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, etc.).
- Proven experience analyzing and synthesizing workforce data and translating data into workforce insights.
- Experience with relevant data analytics software including Tableau.
- Experience working within the insurance industry or public sector is an asset.

Work arrangements defined:
- Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
