ICBC’s Human Resources division has an opening for an Organizational Design Specialist (People & Culture). This position resides out of the North Vancouver – Head Office location, combining in-office work with work from home flexibility.

 

The Organizational Design Specialist (P&C) will partner with the business and HR to conduct operating model and organizational design initiatives to support organizational transformation and vision for the future. Additionally, reporting to the Manager, Strategic Org Design & Planning, Workforce Programs, the Specialist will play a key role in supporting the stand up of ICBC’s Organization Design Centre of Excellence (CoE).

 

You will bring your strong background in HR Business Partnering or organizational design consulting experience, having led organizational design and structure transformation projects.

 

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct operating model and organizational design, including:
    • Conduct current state analysis
    • Develop operating models in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including capability frameworks and service delivery models
    • Collaborate with relevant business leaders to develop high level organizational structures that meet capability requirements, including preparing design options, testing against design criteria, and aligning leadership around design selection and implementation
    • Develop role level structures and designing jobs, including the development of job descriptions
  • Collaborate with the Compensation team to align organizational design work to compensation framework
  • Develop and apply standard tools and processes for performing operating model and organization design at ICBC
  • Apply the intake and prioritization of service requests from the business
  • Liaise and consult with external partners, participating in the procurement and selection process and providing ongoing quality assurance and knowledge sharing throughout projects
  • Define and maintain long term project metrics (e.g. customer service levels, quality, efficiency, etc.) to measure design success
  • Support the planning process for design implementation, alongside the Change Management team and HR Business Partners
  • Leverage research, data, and analysis to tell a story and gain buy-in when making organizational design recommendations
  • Support learning and communications about organizational design in the business

 

Position Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (i.e., Human Resources, Business, etc.)
  • Organizational design certification is an asset
  • Strong relevant experience in previous roles involving operating model and organizational design (either internal to HR or within a consulting context)
  • Experience with large scale transformations and/or change management
  • Experience working within the insurance industry is an asset

Work arrangement defined: 

 

  • Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary in-office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
