Position Highlights:
The Information Management department delivers data and analytics solutions to enterprise business users,including source data provisioning in data warehouse, operational monitoring, advanced analytics, reporting andself-serve capabilities. This enables fact-based decision-making as it relates to business processes, operationsand strategies.
As part of the Information Management team, IM Corporate & DL supports various corporate line of businessesand external customers via strong business relationship and collaboration with business and ISD teams.
This is accomplished by providing internal and external customers with complete, accurate and consistent data &metadata. This also includes preparing data and performance measurement (dashboards, scorecards andindicators) development services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and building a team of 10+ data focused IT professionals.
- Establishing a strong partnership with internal customers and stakeholders.
- Aligning Business intelligence solution delivery to support business strategies and objectives.
- Managing the continued evolution of the portfolio of information solutions.
- Supervising and coordinating the overall delivery of data solutions, including but not limited to providing effortestimates, managing project timelines and customer relationships.
- Providing optimized solutions along with value monitoring, quality assurance and data validations.
- Supporting the development and enhancement of the information management practice to meet thechanging needs of the organization including the identification of new tools and techniques to enhanceservice delivery.
- Conducting behavior and making decision in alignment with the ICBC Values as well as the InformationManagement Guiding Principles.
Position Requirements:
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to translate department tactics into action that deliverproducts and services to the Corporation's customers. As importantly, we are looking for a proven people leader,who is able to hire, prepare, guide, motivate, support and direct employees in the delivery of services; and to holdemployees accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of these services.
- A proven leader through 2-3 years of people management experience in public or private sector.
- Your knowledge of business domain, data engineering, and passion along with your ability to manage andinspire a team, will play a key part in your success in this role.
- Demonstrated experience in large and complex data intensive information projects using industry bestpractices and standards.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to think strategically.
- A customer service mindset with exceptional relationship building skills.
- Understanding of data governance framework and practices.
- Innovative and passionate about solving complex problems with variety of data & analytical tools.
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience working with industry standard data platforms such as Big Data.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodology.
- Knowledge of BI tools, data visualization, reporting and analytical tools.
- Knowledge of ICBC business and system processes is a definite asset.
This specialized training is typically recognized by an undergraduate degree and/or a professional designation in atechnical/business/scientific field. Several years of related direct/indirect work experience in a continuous learning environment is typically required for someone to perform this job, including current management experience.

Work arrangements defined:
- Resident – you will work at your primary in-office headquarters on all scheduled work days.
- Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
- Hybrid 10 – you will work a minimum of 10 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically one week in/one week out or up to 3 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
- Mobile – you will work a significant amount of time in the field, in addition to working from an office and optionally working remotely within British Columbia.
- Remote – you will work remotely from within British Columbia, with one required visit to your primary office per month.
