ICBC is seeking a manager for our RPA Development, Content Management, Web & Procedures Solutions teams. This diverse application portfolio requires a dynamic forward-thinking manager who can provide the necessary planning, support and delivery of solutions while providing effective mentoring and coaching to staff in alignment to IT best practices and development methodologies.
Position Highlights:
As a Manager of Knowledge Management and Communications, you will manage a small yet divers team to deliver and support solutions across our key business areas of Insurance, Claims, Drivers Licensing, Corporate and Customer Experience.
Your responsibilities will include the solutions, development and sustainment of the following platforms and services:
- RPA (Robotics Process Automation)
- Content Management Platform (Open Text CMS)
- Web application, DITA-based authoring & publishing solution on MS SharePoint Online
- Corporate Records Retention
- AWS And Aure AI solutions
Your responsibilities also include:
- Managing performance and staff skills development in addition to recruitment of staff.
- Acting as a delivery manager of upgrades and updates of your solutions.
- Acting as a service manager and engaging with business customers in understanding their needs.
- Managing contracts and vendors of the solutions you support.
- Collaborating with other IS Managers and team members to enable successful outcomes to our business units.
Position Requirements:
We are looking for a proven IT leader who has managed teams, projects, budgets, business customers, and technology solutions. Experience working in a large organization with an IT organization of at least 100 employees overall. This job requires at least minimum of four (4) years of experience in:
- Leading and managing teams. (hiring, performance management, and developing staff).
- Servicing and engaging with business units in the services support and delivery technology solutions.
- Collaborating and engaging with other IS management teams and partners in supporting solutions.
- Managing contracts for providing vendor management for your products and services .
- Applying project management methodology in the delivery of your technical solutions.
- Lifecycle planning of the technologies you support and are responsible for.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a strategic mindset.
- Demonstrating highly effective interpersonal, Collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Applying development practices and methodologies for RPA, Content Mgmt. Solutions, Web and/or AI solutions.
This management position requires an undergraduate degree and/or a professional designation in a technical or scientific field, along with several years of related direct/indirect work experience. Leading development teams around AI solutions is considered an asset given the newness of these capabilities.
Position Information:

Work arrangements defined:
- Resident – you will work at your primary in-office headquarters on all scheduled work days.
- Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
- Hybrid 10 – you will work a minimum of 10 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically one week in/one week out or up to 3 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
- Mobile – you will work a significant amount of time in the field, in addition to working from an office and optionally working remotely within British Columbia.
- Remote – you will work remotely from within British Columbia, with one required visit to your primary office per month.
