ICBC is seeking an experienced Manager, HR Business Partner to join the growing team.

 

In this role, you will lead a team of HR Business Partner. You will build trusted relationships with senior leaders in the organization, collaborating with them to drive people strategies to support their divisional business objectives and priorities.

 

As a Manager, HR Business Partner, you will apply a strategic lens to design and deliver innovative people-centric solutions in line with our corporate culture initiatives. You will coach and develop HR Business Partners through formal and informal learning and development activities; ensuring quality standards are upheld, identifying opportunities for improvement as necessary. A high degree of business acumen is essential as you work with leaders to navigate the business challenges they face and lead them through the delivery of key programs in support of their strategic goals.

 

With a focus on strategy execution, this role would suit a seasoned HR professional who can strongly influence in a complex environment, using data and insights to build convincing business cases for change.

 

Position Requirements

 

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Human Resources in an advisory, or senior operational role.

  • Demonstrated experience managing teams, in interaction with various stakeholders including, subject matter experts in HR functions and senior business leaders.

  • Experience in the full HR value chain and HR best practices: talent management, career management, succession planning, workforce planning, performance management, remuneration and rewards, organisational effectiveness, and employee relations.

  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with all levels of leaders.

  • The ability to collect and use high quality data and analytics across HR value chain matters to support with diagnosing people issues.

  • Effective decision-making, critical thinking and problem resolution skills.

  • A Degree or Diploma in a field related to Human Resource Management, and or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • CHPR or other relevant designation.

Work arrangements defined: 

  • Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days per month at your primary in-office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
