Position Highlights:
As the IT Manager of Operations, Releases, and Sustainment Services, you’ll be accountable for core IT Service Management functions for Driver Licensing Applications. You’ll manage a team of Developers, Business Systems Analysts, QA Analysts, and other technical specialists that provide production support and coordinate with other IT teams to plan and maintain stable day-to-day operations.
This position is the leader responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the platforms our product teams rely on to deliver customer value. This role leads operational teams, governs environments, drives incident response, and partners with product, development, platform engineering, and security to ensure our applications run reliably at scale.
This is a strategic leadership role for a modern IT professional who thrives at the intersection of technology, process, and cross team collaboration.
Your key focus and deliverables:
- Delivering production support (e.g., Incident/ Problem/ Change/ Release Management) for Driver Licensing Applications;
- Consulting, communicating, and collaborating with various teams (IT, business, and third-party vendors) to ensure seamless integration of new solutions with timely and quality deliverables that meet or exceed performance levels for stable operations;
- Establishing key partnerships across the organization (e.g., executives, management, project teams, internal business and IT stakeholders, and external vendors);
- Ensuring development environments are well-managed, meet the needs of delivery teams, and comply with security and privacy standards and policies;
- Building, managing, and working with agile delivery teams to optimize our investment, and deliver quality and value to our business partners.
Position Requirements :
To make an immediate contribution in this critical role, you’ll have demonstrated experience:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of critical IT platforms, including monitoring production performance and availability, and managing incidents, changes, and releases;
- Leading and developing geographically dispersed technical teams;
- Working within complex technical and regulatory environments, including experience supporting or leading operational audits;
- Designing, building, and running digital products and services within ITIL service management frameworks and SDLC methodologies;
- Building strong working relationships and influencing decisions with product vendors, consulting partners, clients, and stakeholders.
Your experience is complimented by an applicable technical and/or business certificate/diploma/degree and relevant certifications (e.g., CISM, ITIL, MCSE, PMP, Red Hat, Agile). This position may require you to qualify for security clearance from CSIS.

Work arrangements defined:
- Resident – you will work at your primary in-office headquarters on all scheduled work days.
- Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
- Hybrid 10 – you will work a minimum of 10 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically one week in/one week out or up to 3 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
- Mobile – you will work a significant amount of time in the field, in addition to working from an office and optionally working remotely within British Columbia.
- Remote – you will work remotely from within British Columbia, with one required visit to your primary office per month.
