Position Highlights:

 

Finance System Services is looking for three (3) talented, analytical and highly motivated individuals to join the Finance Team as a Finance Services Analyst in North Vancouver. 

 

This team provides technical and analytical support to users of finance related systems/transformation projects and helps resolve operational issues. 

 

Working within a team environment, your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Analyze and resolve operational issues of finance-related systems
  • Provide expertise in translating Operations priorities and impacts into work-around and/or enhancements that support finance divisions strategic plans
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Areas and IS Solution Team in the investigation and determination of possible solutions to business problems and opportunities
  • Plan and conduct training sessions for end users to introduce new systems or system enhancement
  • Proactively investigate and perform analysis of financial operations within the division to identify process and system deficiencies.
  • Facilitate testing activities to ensure solutions meets business requirements
  • Participate in Project testing and provide support to maintain new business processes

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

This position requires someone who has 2+ years of hands-on experience in Business Systems Analysis or a combination of relevant post-secondary education and related experience with Business Systems and Information Technology. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Experience in identifying business problems and understanding business needs to evaluate viable solutions
  • Experience in Financial Systems and IT providing operational support specifically in SAP Finance modules
  • Experience in SAP financial components along with MS Access
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Excel and Data analysis
  • 2+ years of experience with PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter and Integration with SAP
  • Ability to understand and translate technical terms and requirements
  • Experience planning test cases and writing test scripts
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to effectively multi-task
  • Critical thinking and an eye for detail
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff

Work arrangements defined: 

 

  • Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
