Position Highlights
Finance System Services is seeking a talented, analytical, and highly motivated individual to join the Finance Team as a Finance Operations Analyst in North Vancouver. This team provides technical and analytical support for finance-related systems and supports ongoing transformation initiatives across the Finance Division.
In this role, you will provide operational and analytical expertise to support finance systems, diagnose and resolve system-related issues, and contribute to system enhancements and process improvements. You will work closely with business partners, IT, and project teams to ensure finance systems operate efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to finance-related systems, acting as a first point of contact for system-related issues and inquiries
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve operational issues and recommend appropriate solutions or alternatives
- Review system change requests and determine testing requirements
- Develop, execute, and coordinate test plans, test scenarios, and testing schedules
- Analyze testing results, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions
- Support implementation of system enhancements, upgrades, and finance-related projects
- Collaborate with business areas to gather requirements, conduct operational analysis, and recommend systems or process improvements
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including procedures, user guides, and test documentation
- Provide technical guidance, advice, and training to end users of finance systems
- Participate in incident reviews, identify root causes, and recommend preventative measures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by researching best practices and implementing enhanced operational methods
Position Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience providing operational support for financial systems, including SAP Finance modules FS-CD, FI-CO, FI-AP, FI-AR
- Experience with SAP Macro Scripting and integration with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter and integration with SAP
- Knowledge of finance applications, systems testing methodologies, and basic systems analysis and design principles
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis, process improvement, and operational support
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to develop and execute test plans and analyze system testing results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, MS Access and Visual Basic Macros.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and meet competing deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Work arrangements defined:
- Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
