Position Highlights

 


The Accounts Services department is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Financial Account Services Representatives to join their dynamic team full-time either at the North Vancouver Head Office or Surrey-Gateway locations. In this role you will be responsible for addressing inbound call inquires in a call centre environment, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless client experience. Your financial acumen will be key in building and maintaining a positive customer service experience. As a Finance Account Services Representative, your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Responding to customer inquiries via phone, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Investigating and resolving account-related issues, escalating more complex related cases (as needed).
  • Working as part of a call center team that takes inbound call inquiries and contacts customers to discuss outstanding debt owed to the corporation and servicing insurance related Payment Plan.
  • Working assigned files to investigate and evaluate collectability and repayment.
  • Determining recovery action best suited to the situation.
  • Negotiating payment arrangements and settlements.
  • Maintaining an ongoing relationship with the customer until the account is finalized.
  • Reviewing multiple database applications while processing incoming calls and emails.
  • Discussing options available to customer to assist them in repaying their outstanding accounts and advises them of the possible consequences of non-payment.

 

 

 

Position Requirements

 

  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time while adapting to changes and prioritizing tasks while processing a considerable volume of detailed work.
  • Experience handling challenging customer situations and taking an objective stance in decision-making.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to relate to the customers’ needs and willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and organization skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
  • Ability to understand and convey financial information.
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures used in debt collection.
  • Prior work experience in a call center environment will be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, PolicyCentre, ClaimCentre, and Session Manager will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to meet the minimum standard on a data-entry assessment required for the role.

 

 

The hours of operation are between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. Shifts may vary depending on operational needs.

Work arrangements defined: 

 

  • Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
