Position Highlights  

The Insurance Division has an opening for a Digital Analytics Specialist to join the Customer Experience & Insight team. This role is located at the North Vancouver head office and operates under a hybrid working model with a requirement of eight in‑office days per month. 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Measure, track and analyze customer and employee digital experience through regular and ad-hoc digital KPI reporting and deep dive analysis  

  • Identify and assess opportunities to improve customers’ experience with ICBC’s digital products through data analysis and stakeholder engagement  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define customers’ digital experience KPIs, and support the setup of digital reports, including custom tagging using Google Analytics  

  • Translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly insight for business partners across the organization 

  • Plan, prioritize and deliver projects in an environment with multiple priorities  

  • Build strong relationships and foster collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including the business teams and the technology teams  

  • Synthesize complex data and stakeholder input into clear opportunity statement and work with the cross-functional teams to evaluate and recommend solutions   

  • Organize and prepare information required for business cases, presentations, reports and project documentation.

Position requirements:  

  • Proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for digital analysis across portals and digital channels 

  • Proven hands-on experience with GA4, including event-based measurement, custom event design aligned to business requirements and user journeys, and experience applying GA4 event naming conventions.  

  • Ability to translate business questions into measurable tracking events, parameters, and success metrics.  

  • Experience using Tableau for dashboard design including creating calculated fields, data analysis, and reporting  

  • Understanding of website and digital channel analytics concepts, standards, and measurement techniques 

  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate insights to diverse business audiences 

  • A collaborative, dynamic, and innovative approach, with demonstrated accountability and attention to detail 

 

Good to have:  

  • Experience with Fullstory or equivalent tools  

  • Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) for analytics validation, including reviewing IT implemented event tags, validating triggers and variables, and testing customer interaction tracking. 

  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) design principles is considered an asset 

  • Knowledge of Project management concept and fundamental is considered an asset

Work arrangements defined: 

  • Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
