Position Highlights

ICBC's Driver Licensing Integrity and Oversight unit is tasked with investigating fraud and ensuring compliance within the entire driver licensing business line. We currently have an opportunity available for a Driver Training Investigator to work in our Coquitlam location investigating driver training industry non-compliances and fraud against the Corporation. The successful candidate must possess strong analytical, writing, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, within a fast-paced environment and under the pressure of tight deadlines.

Position Requirements

Your Qualifications will include:

• Knowledge of the relevant acts, legislation, regulations and corporate policies as they pertain to the investigation of driving school industry partners and stakeholders
• Experience in direct/indirect investigative work as well as knowledge in Division 27 of Motor Vehicle Act Regulations
• Education which includes an undergraduate degree, certificate, diploma, professional designation (CIP) and/or a combination of related education and experience.
• Must meet the provincially legislated requirements of the Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA)
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment based on the job requirements.

The successful candidate must be willing to travel regularly throughout the Lower Mainland, and occasionally to other areas of the province. Applicable business travel costs and the use of a personal vehicle will be reimbursed as per the “Travel and out-of-pocket business expenses” policy in conjunction with the “Discretionary spending policy” as outlined on the Hub.

This position reports to the Manager of Investigation Operations.

Work arrangement defined: 

• Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
• PLEASE NOTE: Although position is Hybrid 8, at current state operationally, DTIs are expected to be in office 3 days per week.
