This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the team responsible for supporting ICBC’s Board of Directors.

 

In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless coordination for the Board of Directors. Your primary responsibilities will include providing assistance to the Chair of the Board and the Corporate Governance’s Office. Anticipating needs and taking independent action will be key to your success. You’ll handle a diverse range of administrative tasks while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, tact, and confidentiality.

 

This is a great role for an administrative professional looking to grow and build their experience in an exciting and dynamic role.

 

Accountabilities:

 

  • Organize schedules, coordinate Board/Committee meetings and manage reminders using Microsoft Outlook
  • Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and reports
  • Provide general administrative support, including managing travel arrangements
  • Maintains accurate corporate records
  • Assist managing the Board budget and payroll
  • Facilitate orientation for new Board members
  • Act as liaison for executive and government officials
  • Assists in event planning as needed

 

Requirements:

 

The skills and attributes required to successfully fulfill these responsibilities include:

 

  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization and time management skills, and ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive knowledge of administrative procedures and practices
  • Advanced proficiency of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and videoconferencing technologies
  • Taking ownership of becoming well-versed in boards of directors and governance principles
  • Ensuring high standards and consistently adding value to the business
  • Governance experience or experience working with a Board of Directors is considered an asset

Work arrangements defined: 

 

  • Resident – you will work at your primary in-office headquarters on all scheduled work days.
  • Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia. 
  • Hybrid 10 – you will work a minimum of 10 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically one week in/one week out or up to 3 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia. 
  • Mobile – you will work a significant amount of time in the field, in addition to working from an office and optionally working remotely within British Columbia. 
  • Remote – you will work remotely from within British Columbia, with one required visit to your primary office per month.
